Long before he founded Laser 21 Pte Ltd, Ching Wat grew up an avid fan of kites during Singapore’s foundation years in the 60’s and 70’s. But unlike most kids seeking pleasure in flying kites, Ching Wat was able to infer from his childhood experience to develop the philosophy that symbolises Laser 21. Akin to building and flying the best kites, Laser 21 is committed to building and selling only the very best products. Laser 21 first painstakingly builds its products (just like building a kite) with the right mix of raw materials and engineering excellence. Next, the Company would need a top-notch salesperson (the kite flyer) to communicate to customers and to sell the products (using the string to put the kite up in the sky). Favourable weather and wind conditions are paramount to successful launch and sustainability (market opportunities). A good salesperson would know when to give customers friendly reminders and when to keep a distance (when to let the kite run and when to pull the string). From assembly and customisation of its laser, photonics or ultra precision system to successfully matching them to customers needs, Laser 21 carries out its business embracing its founder’s “Kite Philosophy”. |
